Trust us:
we wouldn’t be asking if it were not important.
Over the past couple years, the nonprofit fundraising landscape has become significantly more challenging.
Foundations have shifted funding priorities, and grant applications have become much more competitive. Nonprofits serving 100+ children seem to get priority over smaller organizations; however, as you know first-hand, small organizations can make a big impact.
The Chesterbrook Community Foundation is proud to partner with the community of the Chesterbrook Gardens Public Housing Development. After-school and evening programs engage more than thirty kids, and thanks to our staff and Bentley University mentors, they continue to get better and better.
Unfortunately, the Chesterbrook Community Foundation is in need of funding to sustain its programming for the upcoming academic year. This year, we did not receive financial support from a number of foundations that have previously supported the organization. We are asking you, our best ambassadors, to help us make up the gap.
We hope to raise $15,000 by September 1. This will allow us to make a solid commitment to parents that the after-school program will run for the full academic year.
Our ask to you is this: can you help us to raise this money?
This can be a personally significant donation, a company matching donation, through outreach to your friends / family / Chesterbrook connections, or through connections to foundations or corporations—if it helps us to secure funding, we appreciate any and all efforts to support the Chesterbrook Learning Center!
